Having started her career as a solicitor working in local government and private practice, Joanna joined the College of Law in York in 1989 as a tutor specialising in civil litigation, employment and public law. She joined the York management team in 2002.

An intensely collaborating group of autonomous educational institutions selected for their complementary, such as geographic footprint, academic specializations, accessibility/affordability, mode of delivery; joined by shared vision and values; and supported by shared services and resources.
As the system operates globally, GUS institutions are fortunate to be financially enabled in their expansion through investments of GUS BV and to be supported by a range of efficient and effective shares services.
